How did we get here? The Mets were two games under .500 three weeks ago. They were done, finished, dead. Now we’re right smack dab in the middle of a playoff chase baby. Let’s go!!!

Last night recap

St. Louis lost to Pittsburgh 4-3. The Pirates finally helped the Mets out, after deciding not to show up to the game on Monday. Then they blew it with two outs and two strikes in the ninth. They’d owed us one.

San Fransisco lost to the Rockies 6-5. The Rockies scored three in the bottom of the ninth, and Christian Adams played the hero on a walk-off double. So the Giants keep sucking, and now we’re only a half a game behind them. Coming for that ass Bumgarner.

The Nationals beat the Braves 6-5 in 11 innings. Atlanta showed some heart and kept the Nationals up late, but that was about it. Nats hold serve, they’re hosting Philly this weekend.

Who’s playing on Thursday

St. Louis Cardinals (Jaime Garcia, 10-11, 4.41 ERA) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (Junior Guerra, 7-3, 2.85 ERA), 7:15 PM, Bush Stadium, Milwaukee

Washington Nationals (A.J. Cole, 1-1, 3.86 ERA) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Alec Asher, MLB Debut), 7:05, Nationals Park, Washington D.C.
