In the least surprising move of all time, Carmelo Anthony is shutting it down the rest of the season

I guess this is just an obligatory blog. I probably should’ve written it 3 months ago because we all knew it was gonna happen anyway, but hey, why miss a chance to bash on Melo.

I’m not mad at Carm. some people are freaking out because he sat out almost the whole season already but then decided he was healthy for the all star game and played 30 minutes. That’s not even worth me getting upset about. Everybody knows Carmelo’s going to do what Carmelo wants to do. It’s always been that way. He forced his way out of Denver, he forced the Knicks to fire Mike D’antoni and Mike Woodson. He held the Knicks hostage into giving him $125 million and pretending like he was taking a pay cut. Who cares. The Knicks are unwatchable anyway so having Carmelo on the court really doesn’t make that much of a difference if you aren’t watching. If a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?

The only difference between what is happening now and what has been going on is…..well there is no difference. He barely played any games before the All-Star break, so now he just won’t be playing any games at all. I’m actually elated that Carm is shutting it down. Now the Knicks will almost definitely lose every game the rest of the season en route to getting our new superstar Jahlil Okafor.

Have fun with your surgery Amar’e Stoudemir….I mean Carmelo Anthony. Can’t wait to see you back on the garden floor chucking up 20 shots in 30 minutes like you did during the all star break.

BTW- The only reason I like Carmelo Anthony anymore is because he’s draining $125 million from the pockets of the devil himself James Dolan. I don’t even give a crap about the salary cap. The Knicks are never going to win a championship anyway.

BTW II- Ahh the good ol’ days…
