Key and Peele did an East/West Bowl 3, but is it actually funny?

So the viral video world got a little treat yesterday as Key and Peele, as a promo for their upcoming season on comedy central, unveiled their 3rd installment of the East/West Bowl game.

Now, here’s what I think. The first one was pure GOLD. It was hilariously original and just perfectly satires the way that ridiculousness of some NFL names. Names like Xmus Jaxon Flaxon-Waxon, The Player Formarly Known as Mousecop and Javaris Jamar Javarison- Lamar (here a list of all of the names from the first one here) were just laugh out loud funny. I must have watched it a hundred times. But, like all things nowadays if it’s successful you have to make a sequel so they did and it was ok, pretty much exactly the same as the first one besides the Dan Smith rap at the end which was good, but overall, meh. So for a 3rd season what I’m guessing happened is Comedy Central came to Key and Peele and they were like hey, do that exact same thing you were doing, except this time we’re going to fill most of it with stupid cameos of real NFL players who have zero comedic timing and cram it in and you guys do your thing and make funny noises and stuff. It’ll be AMAZING….

That didn’t happen. I really don’t even think I laughed one time. Like the concept of getting all these football players with funny names on there is ok, but like I said they have zero comedic timing and these are the players they spoofed in the first place. It just seemed like a novelty that ran dry after the first one, but people keep saying it’s funny because they’ll get bombarded if they say it’s stupid. What does that remind you of……..

So what do you think, am I just a cynical dick or was this actually funny? Vote below:
