We may never lose again.
I’m dead serious, I legitimately see a scenario in which we never to another game. There’s nobody on the ice that’s as good as the Rangers right now. We’re won 7 straight and 10 of 12. Henrik just isn’t letting up goals. I thought it would take him a little longer to get back in playoff form, but clearly he’s playing like it right now. Martin St. Louis is playing like he’s 26 years old again. Rick Nash is so hot right now, Rick Nash. Our defensemen are all playing together for the first time in forever for extended periods of time and the chemistry between lines is now outstanding.
Tonight looked like a cakewalk after we went up 2-0, and then we took our foot of the break nearly lost it. But more importantly, we held on to win 4-2. What was great about this game is that it showed our resiliency. Beating up on bad teams is easy, but it’s when you get tested by the good teams that you find out what kind of group you have. If you’re hot like we are now, it just seems like you find a way to win every night.
There’s a resemblance, right???

We’re only 6 points behind the isles and 9 of Pittsburgh. With so much time left in the season they’re both very catchable.
I’m not an idiot, the Rangers aren’t going to keep winning forever, but what this might just be is our tipping point. We’ve been playing great hockey all year, but just getting unlucky due to injury and ilness, it puts you in a hole. But what this might be showing is our real team now. Nobody’s out with the mumps, just about all of our team is healthy, we’re +18 in goal differential. I think it’s a very real possibility that we continue to play like this and contend for the top of the Metropolitan Conference.
