All Star Game preview/ Jeter prop bet guide

So we’re in the middle of the slowest 3 days of the sports year, so I have absolutely nothing to blog about. I might as well just throw up some All star game previews and predictions. It’s a tradition for us to get some wings and watch the game at BacaBoom’s house. So I know about 6 hours from now I’ll be in his basement chowing down on some wings and watching some exhibition baseball. It’s gonna be corny and boring but I’ll be watching, at least half watching. For the first half of the game I’ll be pretty focused on some wings.

First things first, I want to point out how rediculous it is to have like 35 guys on each team. Nothing special about it at all. Here are some things I’m watching for.

  • How awful it’s going to be watching everybody in the building suck Jeter’s dick. The worst part is that you know it’s coming and you can’t look away
  • When is the Jeter commercial coming on. We’ve all seen the commercial on youtube but there’s nothing like seeing it live. I might even put down a wing to watch it
  • When is Murphs getting into the game. David Wright played all 9 innings last year which was Fucking awesome, but Murphy will probably go in in like the 5th or 6th. I just hope he follows Stanton just blasting a 600 foot home run and then he gets up there and throws in a bloop single. Do you Murphy, do you.

Derek Jeter prop bets:

  • Over/Under standing ovations: 3 1/2- If you’re betting the under here, you’re banking on the fact that he’s only getting the scheduled standing ovations. If you’re betting the over, you’re betting at least 1 crowd inspired standing O. I’m taking the over.
  • Will Jeter cry?- Simple yes or no. I’m not being picky, he doesn’t have to be sobbing like a menstruating woman watching the notebook, just any tears at all will win you the bet. I’m taking Jeters soft side. He’ll well up a bit, even if he has to as part of an act.
  • What inning will Jeter be honored: 1-3/4-6/7-9- The odds for innings 4-6 should be through the roof because I think there’s no way that they waste their commercial hat tip for when nobody is paying attention. I’m taking the 8th inning.
  • Over/Under Jeter hits 1 1/2- I’m pretty sure it’s in the rules that Jeter has to get some 80 mph meatball that he can drive

Prediction: NL 8-AL 6. Joe buck leaves the broadcast booth to polish Jeter’s scepter in between innings
