WOW! That “kid” is not 18 years old. First of all, it’s ridiculous that someone younger than me is being traded among MLB teams. I refuse to except that. Some kids are chasing their dreams of reaching the big leagues, some are writing blogs for about 10 people. That’s the way the ball rolls I guess. Anyway, he looks like he’s been hangin out on the street corner by the bodega for 10 years rolling the dice and drinking Bud Lights in brown paper bags.
On a serious note, the “kid” looks like he’s got some promise. He’s a second-round draft pick, and had a 2.57 ERA in 7 starts at Pittsburgh’s single-A affiliate. A fastball in the mid-90’s and a curveball apparently. Can’t wait to call him up and he gets no run support or the bullpen blows his lead in every start.
P.S.- I have no idea how a “player to be named later” trade works. Just so bizarre to me.
Oh and by the way his name is Blake Taylor. Just thought I should mention that.
